The All-Powerful Iveco Trakker Range
Iveco is one of Europe’s most successful manufacturers of off-road and on-road trucks, and its Trakker 4x4 and 6x6 heavy-duty off-road models are well known among off-road operators that work in the toughest conditions.
Iveco Trakkers are designed and built from the ground up to handle all off-road environments fully loaded. Iveco is renowned for producing sturdy off-road transport solutions and the Trakker range is no exception. The Trakker is a proven performer with dozens of fleets that spend little time on the bitumen.
Trakker’s 4x4 or 6x6 driveline can be specified up to 33-tonne GVM and 50-tonne GCM. The constant all-wheel drive is optimised by standard reduction hubs and driver-operated electronic diff locks. Driver and passenger comfort is straight out of Iveco’s renowned highway cruisers, with ample room and storage space for crews that spend days off-road.
The 4x4 range features Iveco’s parabolic leaf spring suspension system while the 6x6 utilises cantilever suspension. With a GVM ranging from 18 to 33 tonne and up to 50-tonne GCM the Trakker range allows maximum loads without compromising on off-road reliability.
New to the range are four-wheel-drive models with 18-tonne GVM and 44-tonne GCM engines plus a 16-speed ZF manual or optional Eurotronic II 12-speed automated manual transmission. As with the 6x6 models, the 4x4 is equipped with Iveco’s Cursor 13 450 horsepower engine with 16-speed Eurotronic II automated manual transmission.
